For this Center Valley kitchen, the homeowner wanted a quick turnaround on the stone work. European Marble & Granite fabricated and installed MSI Calacatta Laza quartz countertops, an island, and a full-height backsplash in four days—while maintaining the quality of the work.
A coordinated look for the kitchen
Calacatta Laza brings a light background and flowing veining to the kitchen. The island and perimeter countertops complement the wood cabinetry, while the full-height backsplash carries the same material onto the walls for a cohesive look.
From countertops to backsplash in four days
The sequence mattered. We completed countertop fabrication and installation within the first three days. On the day the countertops were installed, we also templated the full-height backsplash with the countertops in place.
The next morning, we fabricated the backsplash. That afternoon, our installation team returned to install it, completing the stone portion of the project on day four.
Templating the backsplash after countertop installation allowed us to take measurements against the installed surfaces. Coordinating fabrication and installation kept the project moving without skipping that step.
